It is an agreed fact that language is learnt by a lot of listening to the sounds, words, phrases and sentences from the surroundings. This listening helps a speaker to communicate his/her thoughts in front of other listeners. Listening and speaking are the fundamental skills for students. These skills must be developed in the classrooms so that students can easily learn their subjects and communicate with teachers to ask their questions and express their ideas. Language learning, gives them confidence and develops their presentation skills as well.

In our context English is sometimes a second and or third language. And our maximum part of curriculum consists of English. Therefore, it becomes very necessary to work on English speaking skills in our elementary classes.

In this workshop participants will learn different techniques through activities to create a classroom environment for language development.
